Meet Our Veterinary Team

Dr. Hank Peeters , DVM, Owner

Affiliations: MVMA
Dr. Peeters joined the Clinic November, 1995
DVM at the University of Minnesota, 1992

Dr. Peeters specializes in Bovine and Small Animal practice handling a large portion of the current small animal practice at Chosen Valley Vet Clinic. Dr. Peeters has a passion for caring for animals no matter the size or species offering customized care to suit our customers needs.

Dr. Peeters and his wife Jennifer own a 35 head beef cow herd, 7 horses, 5 dogs, Ava, Turbo, Tommy Boy, Rex, and Guinevere and farm cats named Rocky, Judy, and Midnight.

Dr. Derek Adams, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Undergraduate in Animal Science and Masters in Microbiology at Iowa State University
DVM at Iowa State University, 2015

Dr. Adams joined Chosen Valley Vet Clnic in July 2015. His focus is in production animal medicine and is proficient in reading milk cultures.

Dr. Adams was raised on a row-crop farm near Stratford, Iowa. He keeps a small flock of sheep back home in Iowa. When not working, Derek enjoys woodworking, farming, backpacking, skiing, and cheering on the ISU Cyclones to victory.

Dr. Bryce Niemeyer, DVM, Associate Veterinarian

Affiliations: AAEP and MVMA

Joined the Clinic in March 2018
Undergraduate UW River Falls- Animal Science Degree
DVM at University of Wisconsin-Madison 2013

Dr. Niemeyer grew up in Chatfield, MN training horses and working on a hobby farm. He has happy to be back living and working in his home town clinic. Dr. Niemeyer specializes in equine dentistry but is well versed in all aspects of the Chosen Valley Vet Clinic practice.

Bryce is married to his wonderful wife Kelly. They have 5 horses, 2 ducks, 1 dog, 1 three-legged cat. We hope to add goats and beef cattle to our farm in the future.
